  • ANVIL TOOL (ASA)

Use of Anvil staking Tools is the simplest method of retention of bearing in the housing.

Angled Ring type Staking tools capable of crimping or flaring out the lip of V-grooved bearing under force applied

    Anvil Tool utilizes:

      • Hydraulic Press
      • Mechanical / Arbor Press
      • Pneumatic Press
    • Features:
      • The ASA is a straightforward and traditional bearing staking tool that consists of a solid anvil and a hammer or press.
      • It is commonly used for light-duty applications and situations where precision is not as critical.
      • The ASA typically requires manual force to stake bearings into place, making it suitable for small-scale operations.
    • Advantages:
      • Simplicity: The ASA is easy to use and does not require extensive training.
      • Cost-Effective: It is often more affordable than other staking tools, making it a practical choice for budget-conscious users.
    • Applications:
      • The ASA is well-suited for low-impact tasks, such as hobbyist projects and simple bearing installations where precision tolerances are not essential.
  • BALL IMPRESSION...

Aero Staking ASB Tools are made IAW:

    • Method 300 of NAS0331
    • Per AS specification

ASB’s are used on ductile materials in Housing over the bearing’ staking and sleeved bearing staking. Click here and check our Aerospace Bearing Tool Kits

    • Features:
      • The ASB features a ball-tip staking tool that creates precise impressions on the bearing’s surface.
      • This tool is designed for applications that demand higher accuracy and repeatability.
      • ASB may require a pneumatic or hydraulic press to generate the necessary force for staking.
    • Advantages:
      • Precision: ASB provides consistent and repeatable results, making it ideal for applications where tight tolerances are crucial.
      • Versatility: It can be used for various bearing sizes and configurations.
    • Applications:
      • ASB is commonly used in industries like automotive manufacturing, aerospace, and industrial machinery, where precision and reliability are paramount.
  • BEARING REMOVAL &...

This tool is used to pull out previously cut off bearing from bore or from the housing in HOB application.  Drill press or arbor operated device is used to remove old, cut bearing from its housing to properly install new bearing in the housing.

  • CUSTOM STAKING KITS

Aero Staking specializes in custom engineered, individual application tools. We’ll work to your 3D model, CAD drawing, blueprint, sketch or physical bearing’s surroundings retaining the bearing one way or the other.

Custom Tools engineering by Aero Staking provides industry-leading solutions tailored to specific needs. Their precision in bearing installation and quality-focused approach ensures top-notch performance and increased efficiency, meeting diverse applications across various sectors with excellence.

  • CUTTER BEARING TOOL (ASC)

    DRILL PRESS BEARING CUTTING TOOL

Drill Press cutter is used for cutting off swaged worn bearing’s lip prior to its removal.  This tool requires a power drill press or Bridgeport type vertical knee milling to operate.  Durable, production type tool for shop environments repairs.  Drill press cutter can be mounted in regular 1/2 » quills or collets.

  • PROOF LOAD TOOL (ASP /...

ASP: This testing Tools comes in the form of pusher and receiver cups to support the bearing while being pressure loaded during test. This style of testing tools is designed to work with a press (hydraulic/ pneumatic) and customer own load cell.

Press style proof loading tools are ideal for any specification where precise incremental loads need to be applied as they securely hold the bearing and evenly distribute the load to provide accurate testing results. Each size of bearing requires its own pusher and receiver cup in order to accurately match the swaging groove and housing on each bearing.

ASBT: Breakaway torque testing tools takes the form of a specialized torque wrench which, while holding the bearing in place, measures the force required to rotate the inner race once the bearing is installed in its housing.

Due to the simple and lightweight design Aero Staking break away torque testing tools can be easily used on components already installed in application. The Torque Testing Tools are simple to use and feature a memory dial indicator which records the peak force value.

Aero Staking Break Away Torque testers and receiver cups are made-to-order devices that are designed to help measure effectiveness against the requirements of the customer specification. Typical, standard tools work within a range 5-170in/lbs. but if requirement falls outside of limits a tool can be made to suit. Similarly, the hardware which fits the bearing can be adapted and customized to suit complex housings. Multiple retainers and receiver cups can be used with a single Torque Tool, this helps keeping the overall cost of a complete toolset low.

ASPL: Aero Staking portable proof loader is designed as mechatronic testing tools. It consists of threaded draw rod with a load cell and nut on one end and receiver cup on the other.

All hardware in conjunction with linear indicator and electronic handheld display are highly mobile units that enable, if required, proof loading of newly installed bearings without the need of removing the component from its assembly. Each unit is supplied with a load cell specific to the bearing being used and calibrated to the appropriate load value required as per bearing specification. Electronic handheld displays can be calibrated to work with a number of load cells which reduce cost as a single display can be returned for recalibration and additional load cells added to its library only requiring the purchase of an additional cell.

  • SEGMENT IMPRESSION...

    Segmented staking tools uses:

    • Hydraulic Press
    • Mechanical / Arbor Press
    • Pneumatic Press

ASG’s are used on ductile materials in: “Housing over the bearing” Staking and sleeved bearing staking. Check us on MRO magazine.

    • Features:
      • The ASG utilizes a segmented staking tool that creates multiple impressions simultaneously around the bearing circumference.
      • It is designed for high-volume production and can be automated for efficiency.
      • ASG tools are often used with hydraulic or pneumatic presses to ensure consistent and controlled staking.
    • Advantages:
      • Efficiency: ASG tools can stake multiple bearings quickly, reducing assembly time and labor costs.
      • Consistency: They provide uniform staking results, minimizing the risk of bearing misalignment or damage.
    • Applications:
      • ASG tools are well-suited for mass production environments, such as automotive assembly lines, where large quantities of bearings need to be staked with precision and speed.

    In example:

    • Bombardier BAPS
    • Method 400 of NAS0331
    • Per AS specification
  • SPANNER WRENCHES (ASSW)

Spanner wrenches are used for bearings with thread nut application.

  • SWAGING & STAKING TOOL...

SWAGING & STAKING TOOL KIT FOR AEROSPACE BEARING

  • TRI-ROLLER (AST)

TRI-ROLLER BEARING TOOL FOR AEROSPACE BEARING

  • TRI-WHEELER TOOL (ASW)

Tri-wheeler swaging tool creases the ends of sleeve while flaring them onto chamfers of the bearing and of the housing. They feature three rollers that ensure consistent and uniform swaging, providing a secure fit for pipes and tubes, making installations efficient and reliable.
When intermediate sleeve is not present the wheeler flares out portion of housing onto the bearing (HOB)
